A viral video circulating on social media claims to show Senate opposition leader Allama Raja Nasir saying Pakistan permitted the United States to use its airspace for operations against Iran. However, this footage is doctored using artificial intelligence and does not reflect genuine statements by the politician, according to a fact check by iVerify.

The manipulated clip, shared widely since March 2, paired a blurry video snippet with an AI-generated voiceover alleging Pakistan is “playing a double game” in the Middle East conflict and accusing the army of allowing US access without public consent.
Upon analysis, experts found the audio did not sync with lip movements, and AI detection tools flagged the speech as almost entirely fake. Reverse image checks revealed the original footage was from a 2024 interview unrelated to the Iran-US conflict, further discrediting the viral claim.
The politician’s own party condemned the video as false, urging authorities to take action against accounts spreading misinformation.
