US President Donald Trump expressed frustration over stalled nuclear negotiations with Iran, while Omani mediators claimed a “breakthrough” agreement on uranium restrictions, suggesting diplomatic progress despite rising tensions.

WASHINGTON—U.S. President Donald Trump has voiced growing frustration with Iran’s stance in ongoing nuclear negotiations, even as an Omani mediator described significant progress that could avert a wider conflict, according to international reports.
Speaking to reporters, Trump said he was “not exactly happy” with the way the latest talks in Geneva unfolded, adding that Iran was “not willing to give us what we have to have” and insisting Tehran must agree to sweeping concessions, particularly ending all uranium enrichment that could contribute toward nuclear weapons.
The United States has also boosted its military presence in the Middle East, deploying the USS Gerald R. Ford carrier strike group near Israel’s coast as a deterrent and expressing that diplomatic patience has limits.
