Retired Pakistan Army Chief General (R) Qamar Javed Bajwa was hospitalised and placed in an intensive care unit (ICU) after suffering injuries from a fall at his home on Tuesday morning, family sources told local news outlets. According to the information released by his relatives, General Bajwa slipped and fell in the bathroom around 4:30 a.m., resulting in a head wound and injuries to other parts of his body.

Responding to the incident, the former army chief was quickly taken to a medical facility, where doctors placed him under close observation and treatment. The sources did not immediately provide details on his exact medical condition beyond confirming he is receiving care in the ICU.
General Bajwa is one of Pakistan’s most senior retired military leaders, having served as Chief of Army Staff and remained a prominent figure in national security matters.
