South Waziristan: Army Chief Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir emphasized that terrorism being directed at Pakistan from Afghan territory is “unacceptable” and must stop during his visit to Wana in South Waziristan on Wednesday.

Addressing security and operational readiness along the western border, Munir said threats posed by terrorist outfits using Afghan soil—specifically Fitna-ul-Khawarij and Fitna-ul-Hindustan—must be eliminated. He highlighted that lasting peace on both sides of the border is only possible if all militant support networks are dismantled.
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the army chief reviewed current security conditions and progress in Operation Ghazb-ul-LaʿIḥ. He met officers and troops deployed at forward positions and laid a wreath at a martyrs’ memorial, hailing their sacrifices as the foundation of Pakistan’s security and resilience.
The visit underlines Pakistan’s continuing focus on border security, counter-terrorism efforts, and ensuring stability in the western frontier region.
