2026 T20 World Cup: Meet the Oldest Players Set to Feature in Tournament

As the ICC T20 World Cup 2026 begins on 7 February, cricket fans are spotlighting a group of veteran players who will be among the oldest competitors in the event.

Leading the list is Oman all-rounder Mohammed Nadeem, aged 43, making him the tournament’s oldest registered player. He has played 70 T20 internationals so far, scoring 805 runs and taking 40 wickets.

Following him is Italy captain Venet Madison, 42, with 205 runs in 7 T20Is, and Netherlands veteran Roelof van der Merwe, 41, who has featured in 66 T20Is with 561 runs and 74 wickets and has played for two international teams during his career.

Afghanistan’s Mohammad Nabi, also 41, brings significant all-round experience with 147 T20Is, 2430 runs, and 104 wickets, while Zimbabwe’s Brendan Taylor, aged 40, has made notable contributions with more than 1,100 runs in the format.

These seasoned players highlight the blend of youth and experience in global cricket as the T20 World Cup unfolds next week.
