Pakistan has once again demonstrated its commitment to interfaith harmony as it welcomed over 2,100 Sikh pilgrims from India through the Wagah–Attari border for the 556th birth anniversary of Guru Nanak Dev Ji.

The Sikh pilgrimage to Pakistan in 2025 includes visits to sacred sites such as Gurdwara Nankana Sahib, Gurdwara Panja Sahib, and the historic Gurdwara Darbar Sahib Kartarpur. Pakistani officials greeted devotees with flowers and rose petals, emphasizing peace and religious tolerance. Special arrangements for accommodation, security, and transportation have been made to ensure a smooth pilgrimage experience. This gesture by Pakistan stands in contrast to India’s growing politics of hate, reaffirming Pakistan’s role as a guardian of shared spiritual heritage.
The birthday celebrations of Baba Guru Nanak Dev Ji will continue till November 17.
