Veteran Indian actor Satish Shah has passed away at the age of 74 after a prolonged battle with kidney disease. According to Indian media reports, the actor breathed his last at a local hospital in Mumbai. His final rites are scheduled to take place in the city today.

Satish Shah began his film career in the 1970s and went on to become one of Bollywood’s most beloved comic and character actors. He rose to fame with the 1983 cult classic *Jaane Bhi Do Yaaro* and later appeared in several hit films that showcased his remarkable versatility.

Throughout his career, Shah worked alongside some of Bollywood’s biggest names, including Amitabh Bachchan, Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan, and Aamir Khan.

In addition to films, Satish Shah made a significant mark on Indian television. His performance in the popular sitcom *Yeh Jo Hai Zindagi*, where he portrayed 55 different characters in as many episodes, remains one of the most iconic achievements in Indian TV history.
