A Singapore court has sentenced an Indian nurse to prison and caning for indecent behavior with a man who visited the hospital.

Elippe Siva Nago, a 34-year-old nurse of Indian descent, admitted to her crime and was convicted by the court, according to reports in international media.

Media sources claim that a young patient who was at the hospital with his grandfather as a servant went to the restroom and was subjected to indecent assault and sexual harassment by a nurse.

The victim eventually approached his grandfather in a condition of shock and told the authorities, according to accounts from international media.

Following the incident, Indian nurse Elippe Siva was suspended and then arrested, according to media reports.
