The police have placed large contingents at many locations in response to a protest summons from a religious group in Karachi.

There are now no sit-ins or protests occurring anywhere in the city, according to police officials, who also maintain that the situation is normal.
According to officials, Section 144 is in effect in the city, which means that no one is permitted to demonstrate. The police are prepared to handle the demonstrators, and those who violate the law will face harsh consequences.
He stated that rumours are being circulated in various ways, residents should not pay heed to rumours, there are no protests taking place anywhere in Karachi so far, and people have closed stores themselves due to speculations of sit-ins and protests in different locations of the city.
A protest attempt was launched in New Karachi, but the demonstrators were scattered, and ten rioters were arrested, according to the police.
According to officials, the religious group’s protest near the New Karachi Sindhi Hotel has concluded, traffic has resumed, and everything is back to normal.
