Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has emphasised that removing illegal encroachments from urban and town areas is essential for improving infrastructure and urban planning. Speaking at the inauguration of the Iqbal Flyover Expressway in Islamabad, he said that unless unauthorized structures are cleared, efforts to modernise cities and enhance public facilities will remain incomplete.

Addressing the event, the PM highlighted the importance of projects that improve travel convenience and public welfare, adding that tackling encroachments will enable better design and functionality in urban development.

Shehbaz also praised Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi for his leadership and said that residents can expect a transformed and more efficient Islamabad in the years ahead.
