Electricity Gets Costlier Across Pakistan, Including Karachi

Islamabad: Electricity prices have been increased by 8 paise per unit across the country, including Karachi, under the monthly fuel price adjustment mechanism.

According to a notification issued by the National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (NEPRA), the price hike applies to electricity consumers in accordance with government policy guidelines.

The additional charges will be reflected in electricity bills for the month of October.

Earlier, the Central Power Purchasing Agency (CPPA) had proposed an increase of 19 paise per unit for the August fuel adjustment.
