Intercity bus services from Lahore to several destinations across Pakistan were suspended on Sunday after authorities reportedly sealed the city’s general bus terminals late Saturday night.

The disruption affected passengers travelling to Islamabad, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Sindh, southern Punjab, and other parts of central Punjab. Several travellers were reportedly left stranded after tickets were cancelled and services halted.
Major private transport operators, including Faisal Movers and Daewoo, also suspended services and stopped dispatching buses amid reports of restrictions on public transport movement along motorways and national highways.
However, a motorway police spokesperson told that motorways and highways remained open to traffic and said he was unaware of any instructions to suspend bus services. Another official linked the suspension to the PTI’s ongoing protest call.
The disruption comes as PTI continues its march in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, with authorities taking measures to manage the situation.
