Pakistan’s Defence Minister Khawaja Asif has issued a stark warning that the country will continue to pay the price for the actions and decisions of former intelligence chief Faiz Hamid and ex-Army Chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa. In a social media statement, he said the nation might “reap the crop of the seeds they have sown for years,” highlighting concerns over past policies and leadership choices.

Asif prayed for accountability and urged leaders to fear God and use their power responsibly, saying that governance must be exercised for the welfare of the people.
This comment comes soon after Faiz Hamid was sentenced to 14 years’ rigorous imprisonment following a field general court-martial under the Pakistan Army Act. This development has sparked intense public debate across political and military circles.
