Pakistan’s Defence Minister Khawaja Muhammad Asif has made bold remarks about the country’s military preparedness against India, claiming that Pakistan’s combat aircraft have effectively been “battle-tested” against the Indian armed forces and are receiving high demand for orders as a result. Asif stated the country’s military readiness is so robust it could reduce reliance on the International Monetary Fund (IMF) within six months, given current defence production momentum.

Speaking on Geo News’ Capital Talk, the minister emphasised that Pakistan was prepared for conflict with both India and Afghanistan and cited successful operations in May 2025 as evidence of deterrence capability.
Asif also commented on broader geopolitics, saying if the United States truly supports humanity, it should take action against Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu—a controversial statement underlining current global tensions.
