According to reports in the Indian media, the Indian government hired a US-based lobbying firm in 2025 to help arrange and facilitate meetings between Indian diplomats and senior US officials in Washington.

The lobbying firm reportedly coordinated calls and in-person engagements between the Indian diplomatic mission and the US State Department, the National Security Council, and other key American decision-makers. These efforts also included preparation for high-level visits, signalling India’s intent to enhance diplomatic communication with the US.
Defence analyst Sushant Singh, speaking on social media, said that Indian External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar utilised this lobbying support ahead of planned meetings with the US vice president and US Defence officials, highlighting a strategic push to strengthen ties amid complex geopolitical dynamics.
