Over 1,200 paramilitary soldiers were dispatched by the federal government to Punjab to stop demonstrators marching on the capital via the GT Road from Lahore.
According to authorities, 300 individuals arrived at the bridge from Dhoke Abbasi and the adjacent regions yesterday bearing TLP banners, posters, and flags.
The rally’s speakers and anti-government slogans encouraged people to join the TLP demonstration. Additionally, when the police urged the demonstrators to vacate the GT Road, they resisted. In retaliation, the police used force, taking sound equipment and arresting 90 demonstrators, while others managed to flee.
Additionally, the police chose to remove certain road blockades last night.
