Widow of Martyred Officer to Make Film Responding to Dhurandhar

The widow of Sindh Police martyr Officer Chaudhry Aslam, Noreen Aslam, has announced plans to produce a film or drama in response to the controversial Indian movie Dhurandhar. She says the Bollywood film wrongly portrays her late husband’s role and reduces his legacy to a single operation, ignoring his broader service against terrorism.

Speaking at the Karachi Press Club, Noreen criticized Dhurandhar for its perceived anti-Pakistan narrative. She said she wants to tell the true story of Chaudhry Aslam’s life and courage—including his work against terror networks like the TTP, not just the Lyari operation shown in the Indian film.

Chaudhry Aslam was killed in a 2014 bomb attack on the Lyari Expressway, where he was leading anti-crime operations. Noreen says her project will reflect his full career and sacrifices, offering a patriotic counter-narrative.
