The United States State Department has strongly condemned the recent militant attacks in Pakistan’s Balochistan province, calling them “horrific” and reiterating its steadfast support for Pakistan in combating terrorism, according to a statement shared on social media.

In its message, the US State Department’s Bureau of South and Central Asian Affairs noted that the Balochistan Liberation Army (BLA)—blamed for the coordinated assaults—remains a designated Foreign Terrorist Organisation and pledged backing for efforts to hold those responsible accountable under the law.

The statement came after Pakistan’s military said it had concluded a large-scale counterterrorism operation in Balochistan that resulted in the deaths of hundreds of militants during days of intense fighting following coordinated attacks that disrupted life across multiple districts.

Washington’s affirmation of solidarity underscores continued US-Pakistan cooperation against violent extremism, even as regional dynamics and security challenges persist.
