Washington: US President Donald Trump has said that ending the war between Pakistan and Afghanistan is very easy for him.
The US President, while talking to reporters in the Oval Office, said that he likes to stop wars and is aware of the recent border tensions between Pakistan and Afghanistan. He said it is very easy for him to stop the war between the two countries.
During the conversation, President Trump once again mentioned the Pakistan-India ceasefire. He said that Pakistani Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif told him that he had saved millions of lives by ending the Pakistan-India war.
It should be remembered that there had been a series of attacks on Pakistan from the Afghan border for several days, after which Pakistan targeted terrorist hideouts in Afghanistan in retaliation, resulting in the deaths of dozens of Khawarij.
An initial 48-hour ceasefire was agreed between Pakistan and the Afghan Taliban regime, but today it was agreed to extend the ceasefire further.
According to the British news agency, the ceasefire has been extended until the completion of talks between Pakistan and Afghanistan in Doha.
