Terrosit Attack In Zahedan, Iran Kills 6, Injuring 22

A group of armed terrorists stormed a courthouse in Zahedan, Iran’s southeastern border city, killing six people and injuring 22 others in a brazen assault on Saturday, July 26, 2025, morning.

The attack, claimed by the Jaish al-Adl militant group, targeted the Sistan and Baluchestan provincial judiciary headquarters on Azadi Street, escalating tensions in a region long plagued by unrest.

The assailants opened fire inside the courthouse, targeting security personnel and civilians indiscriminately. Among the victims were a toddler, a 60-year-old woman, and three members of the courthouse security team who died defending the building. The attackers, armed with firearms and reportedly explosive vests, also caused property damage in the surrounding area.

Iranian security forces, including the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), responded swiftly, neutralizing three of the attackers in a fierce gunfight.

Brigadier General Alireza Daliri, Deputy Commander of Law Enforcement in Sistan and Baluchestan, alleged the attackers were linked to foreign entities, specifically accusing affiliations with the Israeli regime.

Emergency services, led by Zahedan University of Medical Sciences head Mohammad Hassan Mohammadi, rushed the injured to local hospitals, where specialist teams are performing urgent diagnostic and surgical procedures.

Authorities evacuated courthouse staff and visitors, securing the area to prevent further violence. The provincial judiciary chief, Mojtaba Mohebi Rad, noted that most casualties were civilians, highlighting the attack’s devastating impact on ordinary citizens.

Iranian Vice President Mohammad Reza Aref condemned the attack, alleging foreign support aimed at destabilizing Iran.
