Shoaib Malik Announces Retirement From Pakistan Super League After 10-Year Career

Veteran all-rounder and former Pakistan captain Shoaib Malik has officially announced his retirement from the Pakistan Super League (PSL), bringing an end to a remarkable 10-year journey in the country’s premier T20 competition. Malik shared the news on social media platform X, saying he cherishes every moment and friendship made on and off the field during his decade in the league and that “it’s time to call it a day.” Despite retiring as a player, he added that his passion and motivation to continue serving cricket will remain.

Throughout his PSL career, Malik represented multiple franchises—including Karachi Kings, Multan Sultans, Peshawar Zalmi, and Quetta Gladiators—playing 93 matches and scoring 2,350 runs.

Sialkot PSL franchise owners and fans alike have lauded him as “one of the league’s greats,” celebrating his professionalism and impact on the tournament’s growth.
