
Islamabad: Prime Minister of Pakistan has approved a reduction in petroleum product prices, providing relief to consumers across the country.
Following the Prime Minister’s approval, the Ministry of Finance issued an official notification announcing the new prices, which have come into effect immediately.
According to the notification, the price of petrol has been reduced by Rs 5.66 per liter, bringing the new rate to Rs 263.20 per liter. The price of high-speed diesel has been cut by Rs 1.39 per liter, setting the new rate at Rs 275.41 per liter.
Similarly, the price of kerosene oil has been reduced by Rs 3.26 per liter, and will now cost Rs 181.71 per liter, while light diesel oil has seen a reduction of Rs 2.74 per liter, setting its new price at Rs 162.76 per liter. The decision to reduce petroleum prices follows global market trends and aims to provide relief to citizens facing inflationary pressure.
