Istanbul Talks: Pakistan Seeks End to Terrorism from Afghan Soil

The third round of talks between Pakistan and the Afghan Taliban is currently underway in Istanbul, Turkey.

According to diplomatic sources, Pakistan has maintained its firm stance that the Afghan Taliban must end its patronage of the Khawarij elements responsible for cross-border attacks.

Pakistan has reiterated that Afghan soil should not be used for terrorism or hostile activities against its territory. The delegation emphasized that peace and stability in both countries depend on mutual cooperation and the elimination of militant sanctuaries.

Security officials said that despite external pressures and negative influences, Pakistan, along with friendly nations, is making serious efforts to move the peace process forward. These countries are playing an active role in creating a positive and constructive environment for dialogue.

It is worth noting that the first round of talks between Pakistan and the Afghan Taliban took place in Doha, Qatar, where both sides reached a temporary ceasefire understanding aimed at reducing border tensions.
