The Islamabad High Court (IHC) has upheld the injunction in the blasphemy case against Muhammad Ali Mirza, affirming that proceedings will remain on hold until further notice.

Justice Mohsin Akhtar Kayani clarified that the court is not suspending the authority of the Council of Islamic Ideology but has deferred hearing on the matter until after the winter recess.
Meanwhile, the accused has secured bail from the Lahore High Court (Pindi bench) on the condition of two surety bonds of Rs 500,000 each.
As the case remains in legal limbo, many await whether the Council’s review will proceed or if new directives will emerge once courts reconvene.
