Iran warns any new US aggression will trigger a “stronger response”

Iran has warned that any new military aggression by the United States would provoke a much stronger response, as tensions continue despite ongoing diplomatic efforts aimed at preventing further conflict in the region.

Speaking on Tuesday, Iranian Parliament National Security Commission spokesperson Ebrahim Rezaei said Tehran was fully prepared to respond if Washington resumed attacks. He stated that any future aggression would leave the US “more ashamed” and insisted that Iran would not back down under pressure.

Iranian army spokesperson Mohammad Akraminia also warned that Tehran could “open new fronts” using new methods and military equipment if hostilities resumed. Iranian officials stressed that the country’s missile and defense capabilities remain fully operational and ready for retaliation if needed.

At the same time, Iran said diplomatic negotiations were still ongoing through Pakistani mediation, with discussions focused on ending hostilities, lifting sanctions, and addressing regional security concerns. Tehran reiterated that its nuclear enrichment programme remains a “non-negotiable” right.

The warning follows reports that US President Donald Trump had delayed planned military action to allow negotiations more time. Regional powers, including Qatar and Pakistan, have continued pushing for diplomacy to prevent a wider Middle East conflict.
