Historic Exchange: Gaza Sees Return of 1,700 Palestinians

Under the Gaza Peace Agreement, the Palestinian resistance group Hamas has released 20 Israeli hostages, while Israel has freed more than 1,700 Palestinian prisoners.

According to Arab media reports, Hamas released the 20 Israeli hostages in two stages — seven in the first phase and thirteen in the second.

Israeli media reports state that Hamas will also hand over the bodies of 28 Israeli hostages to Israel today. Meanwhile, around 1,700 Palestinian prisoners have returned to Gaza and the West Bank after being released from Israeli prisons and transported by bus.

Arab media further reported that the released Palestinian prisoners will be taken to Al-Nusra Hospital in southern Gaza, where they will receive medical assistance and preliminary health checkups.
