A Brazilian man set fire to his luxury car to collect insurance money, but the entire incident was unfortunately caught on camera.

A man reported to the civil police that armed individuals had stopped him and confined him in the trunk of his Porsche 911 Carrera, according to media sources.

He claimed that after being brought to a rural location, his automobile was set on fire. He claims that after hearing his cries, onlookers abruptly grabbed him from the flaming vehicle, whereupon he sustained minor burn injuries.

He told police he did not know the attackers or why they were trying to kill him.

However, the police investigation revealed some strange facts, and a camera from a nearby farm made it clear that the man told a false story about his kidnapping when, in fact, he set his car on fire.
