Adiala Jail Area Declared “Red Zone” for Security Boost after High-Profile Detainee’s Entry

Authorities have declared the entire area surrounding Adiala Jail a “Red Zone,” tightening security to safeguard its high-risk inmates. The decision comes after worries over a surge in detainee population—reportedly over 7,500—including one high-profile prisoner whose presence prompted extra precautions.

Under the order, law enforcement agencies have deployed large numbers of specialized officers at all entry points and surrounding neighbourhoods to prevent unlawful access and potential security breaches. Boundaries of this “red zone” will be officially demarcated soon.

Officials say the heightened security is a pre-emptive measure to stop any untoward incidents, offering citizens a safe perimeter and ensuring jail operations remain secure and uninterrupted.
