Government Warns Public About Fake Saudi Job Offers

The Pakistani Ministry of Religious Affairs has warned citizens about fake job advertisements claiming to offer employment in Saudi Arabia’s holy cities of Makkah and Madinah. The fraudulent ads circulating in newspapers and social media under the name “Khuddam-ul-Hujjaj” falsely promise jobs related to Hajj and Umrah services, including free visas, return tickets, and accommodation—claims officials confirm are bogus.

According to the ministry’s spokesperson on X, the ads misuse a fake Bureau of Emigration & Overseas Employment (BEOE) registration number to appear legitimate. The government urged job seekers to verify company credentials only through official government websites and to avoid contacting suspicious mobile numbers listed in the ads.

Authorities have also begun action against those responsible for spreading the fake job notices and advised anyone with information or complaints to contact law enforcement agencies immediately.
