Vladimir Putin Warns Europe: “If You Want War, Russia Is Ready”

Russian President Vladimir Putin has issued a stark warning to European leaders: if they choose war, “Russia is ready.” According to international media reports, Putin accused European governments of isolating themselves over the Ukraine conflict and undermining diplomatic efforts. He claimed that European attempts to sabotage any potential peace deals have threatened Russia’s national security interests.

Putin clarified that Russia does not seek war but insisted the country is prepared to defend itself if provoked—signalling that Moscow will not hesitate to respond if Europe pursues what he called “escalatory policies.”

His remarks come amid continued global concern over rising tensions and the potential for broader escalation, raising fear of renewed instability across the region. Observers say this rhetoric could further weaken diplomatic avenues and escalate fears of major military confrontation.
