“Every War Stopped Deserves a Nobel Prize,” Says Donald Trump

Former US President Donald Trump argued that every time a war ends, the peacemaker deserves a Nobel Prize—and said he should have been awarded the honour already. He claimed that under his leadership, eight wars were halted and implied the ninth would be the ongoing Russia-Ukraine conflict once it ends.

Trump added that although he feels entitled to the Nobel Peace Prize, he is not “greedy.” He referenced remarks by a previous Nobel laureate who reportedly said Trump deserved the award—a claim that raised eyebrows given the controversy surrounding his statements.

Speaking at a recent cabinet meeting, Trump said that while ending the Ukraine war would be complicated, it was worth the effort, adding that he cares deeply about lives lost in conflicts.
