Zardari, Shehbaz Urges Nation to Uphold Prophet’s Teachings on Eid Milad-un-Nabi

ISLAMABAD: President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif have urged the nation to follow the teachings and example of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), emphasising compassion, justice, tolerance, unity, and service to humanity on the occasion of Eid Milad-un-Nabi.

Eid Milad-un-Nabi is being observed across Pakistan on Wednesday with religious fervour and solemnity. The day began with a 31-gun salute in Islamabad and 21-gun salutes in provincial capitals, while special prayers were offered for the unity of the Muslim Ummah and the peace and prosperity of the country.

In his message, President Zardari said the life of the Holy Prophet (PBUH) provided humanity with a complete example of faith, justice, mercy, and good character. He urged Muslims to incorporate the Prophet’s Sunnah into their personal and collective lives and protect the rights of vulnerable members of society.

The president particularly called on young people to draw inspiration from the Seerat-un-Nabi by pursuing knowledge, developing good character, and serving humanity.

Prime Minister Shehbaz also congratulated Pakistanis and the Muslim Ummah, saying the Prophet’s life remained an eternal source of guidance. He urged citizens to build a peaceful and prosperous Pakistan by adopting compassion, tolerance, unity, and service to others.

The main event of the day is the International Seerat-un-Nabi Conference in Islamabad, focusing on the character-building and development of the younger generation in light of the Prophet’s teachings.
