The President of the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, arrived in New Delhi on Tuesday for an official visit, where he was warmly received by Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi at the airport. The high-profile welcome marks another chapter in strengthening ties between the UAE and India, two strategic partners with growing economic, defense, and diplomatic cooperation.

Sheikh Mohamed was accompanied by UAE Foreign Minister Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed, while Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, and UAE Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence, also joined the delegation for the visit.
The state visit is expected to include bilateral talks on trade, energy partnerships, and regional security, continuing a trajectory of expanding collaboration between New Delhi and Abu Dhabi amid shifting geopolitical landscapes in West Asia and South Asia.
