Iran warns US Navy to stay out of Hormuz as Trump launches ship-rescue plan

Iran has issued a strong warning to the United States, cautioning its navy against entering the Strait of Hormuz after President Donald Trump announced plans to assist ships stranded in the critical waterway. The move comes amid escalating tensions linked to the ongoing US-Iran conflict.

According to Iranian military officials, any foreign forces attempting to enter the strait without coordination would face a “harsh response.” Tehran reiterated that the security of the Strait of Hormuz remains under its control and insisted that all maritime movement must be approved by its armed forces.

The warning follows Trump’s announcement of a US-led effort—reportedly aimed at guiding stranded commercial vessels out of the region as part of what he described as a humanitarian initiative. Hundreds of ships and thousands of seafarers have been affected by disruptions in the vital oil transit route due to ongoing hostilities and blockades.

Iran has condemned the US plan, calling it a potential violation of the fragile ceasefire and warning that any military presence could escalate the situation further.

With both sides maintaining firm positions, tensions in the Strait of Hormuz continue to rise, raising concerns over global trade, energy supplies, and the risk of broader conflict in the region.
