Iran executes another alleged Mossad spy

Tehran cracks down on Israeli espionage networks

TEHRAN: Iran has executed another person accused of spying for Israel’s intelligence agency, Mossad, marking yet another escalation in the covert conflict between the two countries.

According to Iran’s state-affiliated Mezan news agency, judicial officials confirmed that the executed individual had been passing sensitive Iranian information to Israel. Prosecutor Kazem Mousavi said the convict had maintained contact with agents of the “Zionist regime’s intelligence service” and had even met Mossad officers during his espionage activities.

Officials said Iran’s intelligence and security agencies acted swiftly to identify the suspect, preventing further leaks of classified national data.

The execution underscores Iran’s intensified crackdown on alleged Israeli spy networks operating within its borders. Over the past year, several individuals have been arrested and executed on similar charges. Just last month, Iranian courts sentenced another accused Mossad agent to death.

Analysts say the latest execution reflects Tehran’s message of zero tolerance toward espionage, particularly amid heightened regional tensions and repeated Israeli operations inside Iran.
