The United Arab Emirates (UAE) has introduced a new system called ‘Eye’ to issue easier and faster work permits.

Officials claim that this new system is specifically designed to make it quick and simple to issue work permits, also known as residency permits for labour or employment.

The new system has been developed with the help of artificial intelligence (AI), which can automatically check papers and documents without human assistance.

Emirati officials say that when people who want to work in the UAE submit their documents, the ‘Eye’ system will automatically check passports, photos, educational certificates, employment contracts, medical reports, and company documents (such as trade licenses).

Officials have said that after checking all the documents, a work permit will be issued immediately, and if the ‘i’ system has any doubts, this automated system will forward the application to a government officer.

Officials have said that previously it could take 30 days to issue a work permit, but now this work will be possible in a few days.
