Pakistan has rejected allegations made by India at the United Nations General Assembly, with a Pakistani diplomat accusing New Delhi of supporting terrorism and destabilising activities in the region.

Exercising Pakistan’s right of reply, the diplomat responded to India’s accusations against Islamabad and defended Pakistan’s record in combating terrorism. Pakistan alleged that India has supported militant groups operating against Pakistan and referred to the country’s casualties and sacrifices in the fight against terrorism.

India, meanwhile, accused Pakistan of supporting terrorism and criticised Islamabad’s position on security and regional issues.

The exchange took place during the UN General Assembly’s debate, where both countries presented sharply contrasting positions on terrorism, security, and the wider regional situation.

Pakistan also called for credible and independent investigations into terrorism-related allegations while rejecting what it described as India’s accusations against Islamabad.

The latest exchange highlights the continuing diplomatic tensions between the two neighbouring countries, with terrorism, security, and Kashmir remaining among the major points of disagreement at international forums.
