The Mominabad area of Orangi Town has been overturned in the aftermath of a tragic triple murder case where a father and his two friends were brutally murdered at his own daughter’s in-laws’ residence. The case has been registered by the police under the charge of murder, following the incident late Wednesday night.

The case, FIR No. 373/25, was filed based on the complaint of Bahauddin, brother of one of the deceased, Ghausuddin. According to the complainant, he received information in the morning that his brother Ghausuddin and two others had been murdered. The bodies of his brother and his friends were later identified at the Chhipa morgue.

Bahauddin informed the police that Ghausuddin had arranged his daughter’s marriage to Hamid, the son of Shahjahan, five to six months prior. He had inquired that the victim, Ghausuddin, visited Shahjahan’s house on the night of the murder due to domestic disputes.

While standing outside and talking to Shahjahan, his daughter’s father-in-law, Ghausuddin, was accompanied by his friends, Gul Bat Khan and Muhammad Amin. During the conversation, Shahjahan’s son, Rahmat, came outside and behaved rudely, leading to a heated exchange. Hamid, Ghausuddin’s son-in-law, then emerged with a pistol and opened fire on Ghausuddin and his friends, killing all three on the spot.

Police have arrested Shahjahan and his son Rahmat in connection with the crime, while a search is underway for the primary suspect, Hamid, who remains at large.
