The fifth edition of the DP World International League T20 (ILT20) is set to begin on November 22, 2026, marking a shift in the tournament calendar as organisers aim to avoid clashes with other global T20 leagues. The month-long competition will conclude with the final on December 20 at the Dubai International Stadium.

The tournament will feature six teams competing. Organizers decided to move the event to a November–December window to ensure better player availability and avoid overlap with other major franchise leagues like SA20. The adjustment also reflects the growing competition among global T20 tournaments for top international players. 34 matches, maintaining its established format of league-stage fixtures followed by playoffs. Matches are expected to be held across key venues in the UAE, including Dubai, Abu Dhabi, and Sharjah.
ILT20 has rapidly emerged as one of the most prominent T20 leagues outside traditional cricketing nations, drawing international stars and strong broadcast viewership. Officials highlighted the success of the previous season, which saw increased fan engagement and attendance.
With preparations underway, including a player auction, Season 5 is expected to build on that momentum and further strengthen the league’s global appeal.
