Netflix has released the first trailer for Greta Gerwig’s upcoming fantasy film Narnia: The Magician’s Nephew, offering audiences a first look at a new adaptation of C.S. Lewis’s beloved fantasy universe.

The trailer opens with Daniel Craig, who plays the titular magician, introducing a story about the origins of Narnia. It follows two children, Digory and Polly, played by newcomers David McKenna and Beatrice Campbell, as they discover a way to travel between different worlds.
The film also features Emma Mackey as Jadis, the White Witch, and Meryl Streep as the voice of Aslan, the iconic talking lion. The trailer includes magical landscapes, mysterious journeys, and familiar elements that connect the story to the wider Chronicles of Narnia universe.
Directed by Gerwig, known for Barbie and Little Women, the film adapts Lewis’s 1955 novel The Magician’s Nephew, which explores how Narnia began.
The movie is scheduled to release in cinemas on February 12, 2027, before arriving on Netflix on April 2, 2027.
