Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif inaugurated the Daanish School in Islamabad on Sunday, October 18, 2026, reaffirming his commitment to providing quality education to talented students from underprivileged backgrounds.

Speaking at the inauguration ceremony, the prime minister said every child deserved equal educational opportunities, regardless of their family’s financial circumstances. He explained that the Daanish Schools initiative was launched in Punjab in 2010 to help talented children access education comparable to that offered by elite institutions.
The school aims to support students who might otherwise struggle to afford quality education. During the ceremony, Shehbaz highlighted inspiring stories of graduates who overcame financial hardships to pursue successful careers.
According to a briefing, the Islamabad campus covers 30 acres and has begun classes for grades six, seven, and eight. A total of 360 students from different areas were admitted on merit, while 38 teachers have been recruited.
The school includes separate academic blocks for boys and girls, science and information technology facilities, robotics laboratories, an e-library, and an art room.
The inauguration marks another step towards expanding access to quality education for deserving students across Pakistan.
