Billionaire entrepreneur Elon Musk has announced plans to give one of his SpaceX shares to every child in the United States next year, potentially extending the offer to more than 72 million children.

“Next year, I will give one of my SpaceX shares to every kid in America,” Musk wrote on his social media platform X on Monday. He added that this would be “the first of many,” but did not provide further details about the proposed initiative.
According to US Census Bureau data cited by reports, approximately 73 million people under the age of 18 live in the country. Based on a recent share price of $146.03, distributing one share to each child could represent a total value of more than $10.5 billion.
However, important details remain unclear, including eligibility requirements, how the shares would be distributed and whether the plan would use existing investment accounts for children.
Musk reportedly owns a substantial stake in SpaceX, the aerospace company known for its rocket launches and Starlink satellite internet service.
The announcement comes amid broader discussions in the United States about expanding investment opportunities and financial support for children.
