A blast destroyed a local hotel in Balochistan’s Mastung district on Monday night, damaging nearby houses and more than 250 solar panels, according to police.

The explosion occurred at the Madina Hotel in the Khadkocha area of Mastung. Mastung Superintendent of Police Allah Bakhsh said the hotel was destroyed in the blast, while several nearby houses suffered partial damage.

No casualties were reported because no one was inside the hotel when the explosion occurred, police said.

Following the blast, police cordoned off the area and began collecting evidence from the scene. A search operation was also launched in the surrounding area as authorities started investigating the incident.

Police have not yet disclosed the cause of the explosion or identified those responsible.

The incident comes amid continuing security concerns in Balochistan, where several attacks and explosions have been reported in recent months.

Authorities are investigating the circumstances surrounding the blast and assessing the extent of the damage.
