Pakistani actress Saba Qamar has announced a defamation case against journalist Naeem Hanif, issuing a legal notice demanding Rs 100 million in damages after the journalist made serious allegations about her personal life. In the notice, Qamar rejected Hanif’s claims that she lived in a Lahore residence around 2003–04, provided by a man she was romantically involved with, calling the allegations “false, baseless, and defamatory.”

The controversy gained traction following Qamar’s remarks about Karachi during a podcast, which heightened online scrutiny. Qamar made clear: “I have never lived in Walton, and I never did what you claimed.” She concluded with a stern “See you in court.”
