A Lahore court has granted the National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency (NCCIA) a further two-day physical remand of two suspects accused of involvement in a major counterfeit US postage stamp scam estimated at Rs35 billion.

The suspects, including the prime accused, were produced before Judicial Magistrate Naeem Wattoo on Tuesday after their previous four-day remand expired. The court directed investigators to present them again on November 5.
According to the NCCIA, the prime suspect allegedly operated a website that sold more than five million fake US postage labels over three years. US prosecutors claim the operation caused over $126 million in losses to the United States Postal Service.
Investigators are also examining the financial trail involving 16 bank accounts allegedly linked to the suspects and their relatives. The agency says it has conducted raids at 35 locations and questioned 47 people as part of the investigation.
The allegations remain subject to legal proceedings.
