Nine Suspected Militants Killed in Security Operations in Balochistan: ISPR

Security forces have killed nine suspected militants during two intelligence-based operations in Balochistan’s Kachhi and Wadh districts, according to the military’s media wing, Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).

In a statement issued on Wednesday, October 28, 2026, ISPR said the operations were conducted on October 26 following intelligence reports about the presence of militants in the areas.

During the first operation in Kachhi district, security forces raided a suspected hideout, killing seven militants in an exchange of fire. In a separate operation in Wadh, two more militants were killed after security personnel tracked and intercepted their movement.

ISPR said weapons and ammunition were recovered from those killed. Clearance operations were continuing to locate any remaining militants in the affected areas.

The military described the individuals as “Indian-sponsored terrorists” and said counterterrorism efforts under the Azm-e-Istehkam initiative would continue.

President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif praised security forces for the operations, according to official statements.

The claims regarding foreign sponsorship were attributed to the Pakistani military and were not independently verified in the report.
