Albania’s AI Minister Della to ‘Give Birth’ to 83 Digital Assistants

Albania’s artificial intelligence minister, Della, is expected to “give birth” to 83 digital assistants soon.

According to a foreign news agency, Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama revealed during the Berlin Global Dialogue Conference that the AI minister will soon create 83 “children” — virtual assistants designed to work for the 83 members of parliament of the ruling Socialist Party.

Prime Minister Rama explained that each AI child will serve as a personal assistant, attending parliamentary meetings, recording discussions, preparing notes, and even suggesting strategies during debates.

“For instance,” he said, “if a member leaves a meeting to drink coffee, their AI assistant will keep them updated on everything that happened and even suggest counterarguments to opponents.”

He added that these AI assistants — “Della’s children” — will be integrated with European Union legal frameworks and are expected to become fully operational by 2026.

It’s worth noting that Della was introduced in September as the world’s first AI-generated government minister. Wearing traditional Albanian attire, Della stated during her first public address that she was “not here to replace humans, but to assist them.”
