KARACHI: A judge denied a man’s bail request in a case concerning his alleged WhatsApp sharing of his ex-wife’s private images and videos after she filed a Khula suit for dissolution of marriage.

In accordance with Sections 20 (offences against the dignity of a natural person), 21 (offences against the modesty of a natural person and minor), and 24 (cyberstalking) of the Prevention of Electronic Crimes Act (PECA), 2016, the suspect was booked by the National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency (NCCIA).

The complainant claims that her spouse started harassing, stalking, and intimidating her after she filed a suit for Khula (separation).

She further claimed that the suspect threatened her by sending her private images and videos to her brother on WhatsApp.
