Pak Army Destroys Six Taliban Tank Positions in Strong Retaliation in Kurram
The Pakistan Army launched a strong retaliatory operation after unprovoked firing by the Afghan Taliban and Fitna al-Khawarij militants in the Kurram district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, destroying six tank positions along with personnel.
According to security sources, multiple Taliban posts and tank positions were completely destroyed during the operation. Intense Pakistani artillery fire caused massive damage to Taliban installations, setting several posts ablaze.
Sources confirmed that in the Kurram sector, the Taliban abandoned their positions and fled, leaving behind several bodies. Within an hour, the Shamshad Post—considered a key tank position—was also destroyed. Reports indicate that a top commander of Fitna al-Khawarij was killed during the Pakistan Army’s offensive.
Security officials further revealed that tanks and positions were destroyed at Nargsar Post in Khost, killing several Taliban and Khawarij operatives. Another tank was destroyed along with its crew at Turkmanzai Top.
The Pakistan Army also targeted a training camp reportedly run by a foreign national, Naeem, opposite a police post. The camp—used by Fitna al-Khawarij—was completely destroyed.
Following the intense counter-attack, Taliban fighters reportedly raised a white flag at one of their posts before fleeing the area in panic.
