Trump Calls FBI Probe into Lindsey Graham’s Death a ‘Waste of Resources’

The US President Donald Trump has criticized the FBI’s involvement in the investigation into the sudden death of Republican Senator Lindsey Graham, describing the probe as a “waste of resources” and dismissing speculation that the veteran lawmaker’s death was the result of foul play.

Speaking to reporters at the White House, Trump said he had seen no evidence suggesting criminal activity or any “evil” surrounding Graham’s death. He urged the public not to be influenced by conspiracy theories circulating online, insisting that available medical information pointed to natural causes rather than a criminal act.

According to preliminary findings from the medical examiner, Graham died from an aortic dissection linked to underlying cardiovascular disease. Although the FBI has been assisting local authorities as part of standard investigative procedures, officials have not indicated that they suspect foul play. Final toxicology and additional medical test results are still pending.

Graham’s unexpected death sparked widespread speculation on social media, with unverified claims linking the incident to his recent trip to Ukraine and his outspoken foreign policy positions. However, health experts and authorities have emphasised that there is currently no evidence to support those allegations. Trump reiterated that federal investigators should focus on higher-priority matters unless new evidence emerges, maintaining that the senator’s death appears to have resulted from natural causes.
